Newly-wed couples are being offered the chance to send sealed love letters which will be delivered seven years after their big day.
The idea is that couples thinking of splitting up will receive a timely reminder of why they got together in the first place.
[ & Lots of other interesting facts and figures about relationships in China in BBC's "'Love Post' tackles China's rising divorce rate" ]

It won't stop the huge rise in China's divorce stats.
Shanghai has a higher divorce rate than the UK now.
The new law that allows the man to keep the house if a couple divorce will only serve to prevent couples from marrying. No self respecting Shanghai girl would put up with that -beep-.

OfflineThe love letter might create a temporary moment of reminiscence for both of them, but I don't think it would help that much.
If they got back together only because of the letter, it would only produce more pains while both of them losing the opportunity of getting rid of a relationship that doesn't work and building a new life.
