Hello there, I am in a bit of a predicament here. First off I am beyond oblivious in the ability to tell if a woman is hitting on me in my own culture let alone if said female was from another where different actions are taken and signs means diffeent things,

 Now to the meat of the story there are these 2 wonderful chinese girls who came to my town as part of their college curriculum. I am being the typicla me that I do, and Taking them for walks in teh country side (something they do not get living in the big city Cheng Du) helping them go shopping and other such. Im the kind of guy youd except ot meet in the 40s or 50s not in this modern day and age (where I admit I feel most out of place)

 I love learning about other cultures and other languages, and Me and the 2 girls, came to a sort of agreement that I will help them streamilne their english (they are pretty darng ood actually already) and they will teach me some Mandarin.

 They were teaching me the numbers 0-5 (which 4 was a bit rough for me to get i kept drawing out teh pronounciation) then what I consider out of nowhere One of the girls (ho has already given me permission to call her by her family;s pet name for her) said \"wǒ ài nǐ\" that means I love you, you can tell your girlfriend that.  to which I replied, 'You know I am single\"

 I know that The chinese culture is more.. reserved i guess is the word for it, but I am just wondeirng if I am being flirted with here OR if she is just being nice.

this type of behavior has become more prevlant  when ive managed to break thorugh some culural barriers. for instance  She talked of needing to go grocery shopping  and due to an ealrier story of her syaing she bought too much groceries and was tired carrying  all of it back to her place, I offered to take her and  put the groceries in my truck, while at teh grocery store I taught her how to make a pizza crust, olive oil THEN sauce cheee and toppings.

I found out that chinese girls don't want to be 'troulbe' for men to which i rpeleid \" well for me if I am helping soembody it is in no way  troulbe at all' then she ddi something that no girl has ever done to me and I have to say it still leaves me feeling a bit ' whoa' she loookedme in the eye placed her hand palm up against my  upper bicep then slid it down my arm to just past my elbow and said ' thanks kenneth, you are very nice man' I said ' thanks, i am just trying to treat others how i would want to be treated, you know the whole putting it out ther eint he universe and the universe giving it back to you in return' (yes i tryt o stay awaqy form religious topics and i know that is semi-taboo in china and i do not want to upset  her.

in the end I do find my self attracted to her, she is smart, funny, sweet smile, kind hearted and yes she is one of the most gorgeous women ive ever met.

But i know what I X in one culute might be Y in another and I just do not want to say or do something to upset her or hurt her feeling or what not. so that i why i come here to at least get a little light shed on my predicament.
